Who we are

What this website collects
Very little. The site has no forms, no accounts and no sign-up. It does not set cookies of its own and it does not use analytics or advertising trackers.
Two things happen in the background, as they do on almost every website:
- The company that hosts the site keeps short-lived technical logs, which include your IP address, to keep the site running and secure.
- The map on our Contact page is provided by Google. When that page loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. Google's privacy policy explains what it does with them.
What you give us when you get in touch
When you call, WhatsApp or email us, we receive whatever you choose to tell us. That is usually:
- your name and phone number or email address
- the addresses we are collecting from and delivering to
- a description of what needs moving, and any photos you send
- the date and time you want the job done
What we use it for
- to give you a quote
- to arrange and carry out the job
- to contact you about that job
- to keep the records we need for tax and accounts
We rely on this being necessary to agree and carry out a job with you, on our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries, and on our legal duty to keep business records. We do not send marketing messages.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your details or pass them on for marketing. They are only handled by the services we use to talk to you: WhatsApp, which is run by Meta, and Gmail, which is run by Google. Each has its own privacy policy. We would only share details with anyone else if the law required it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into a job are not kept longer than we need them. Records of jobs we carry out are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, and then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us:
- for a copy of the details we hold about you
- to correct anything that is wrong
- to delete your details, where we no longer need them
- to stop or limit how we use them
To do any of these, call or email us using the details at the top of this page. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle your details, for example by adding visitor statistics to the site, we will update this page first and change the date at the top.
